POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative Operations Manager will be the operational backbone of Angel City FC’s Creative Team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Operations, this role ensures that creative work is delivered on time and on brief by driving scheduling, resource management, and cross-team alignment.
This person will own the day-to-day management of creative workflows — from assignment and prioritization, to building timelines, balancing team capacity, and coordinating freelance support. They will partner closely with the Senior Creative Director to uphold standards while streamlining approvals, reducing bottlenecks, and keeping projects moving.
As the bridge between Creative and the wider Marketing department, the Creative Operations Manager will ensure that Creative Team efforts are tightly aligned with integrated campaigns, partnerships, and community initiatives, enabling the creative team to focus on producing their best work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4–6+ years in creative operations, production management, or project management within sports, entertainment, media, or agency environments.
  • Hands-on expertise scheduling Design + Video workflows end-to-end.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Comfortable estimating level of effort and timelines for common design and editing tasks; working knowledge of production constraints.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and meeting facilitation skills; calm under pressure and excellent at “managing the rush.”
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, media management software, and Google Workspace.

  • Intake & Prioritization
  • Manage the creative intake process in partnership with Marketing Operations.
  • Assign projects, communicate timelines, and set clear expectations with requestors.
  • Resource & Capacity Management
  • Balance workloads across designers, editors, and producers; flag capacity risks and propose solutions (re-prioritize, adjust scope, or add freelance).
  • Coordinate freelance editors and design support, managing bookings and onboarding as needed.
  • Video Team Coordination
  • Support shoot planning, post-production schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Track and manage all video deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Design Team Coordination
  • Partner with designers to align timelines and delivery milestones with campaign and content needs.
  • Track and manage all design deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Quality, Approvals, & Reporting
  • Maintain approval pathways and review cadences.
  • Manage documentation and refine workflows in partnership with Marketing Operations to reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
  • Report on project status, delivery timelines, and team workload to Marketing leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Keep the Creative Services calendar synced with the master marketing calendar across Integrated Marketing, Partnerships, Community, Ticketing, and Social.
  • Serve as the day-to-day operations liaison between Creative and Marketing Operations.
