THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Join Zalando Studios as a Creative Strategist and play a key role in creating compelling fashion narratives for the digital age. We’re looking for someone with an editorial and/or campaign strategy background, whether from a brand, magazine or agency environment, and an expert understanding of fashion and trends.
In this role, you’ll be a strategic creative, our catalyst for innovative storytelling, providing trend insight-driven creative platforms for creative teams to ideate from. With a deep understanding of the culture that surrounds fashion, you will work with the editorial creative team and/or statement creative team to create memorable and inspiring campaigns for the social-inspired feed - spanning videos, stills and livestreams. Your ability to think strategically and creatively will allow you to think outside the box to find unique angles that elevate both the Zalando brand and leading partners brands such as Nike, Diesel and Salomon (just to name a few). WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Join project kick-offs and dive into client briefs. Clearly define problems, break down objectives, and transform them into inspiring creative briefs.

  • Conduct thorough research using various sources and AI tools to uncover valuable insights.

  • Develop engaging creative platforms and creative strategies for social-first campaigns, new content formats based on cultural research, fashion trends and consumer insights.
  • Present your creative strategy clearly and professionally using compelling decks/cohesive slides to generate excitement.
  • Utilise your strategic expertise to analyse past campaign performance and cultural data. Extract valuable insights to enhance future work, such as suggesting new and fresh content formats and advising on editorial angle selection.
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams (Editorial and The Statement) including art directors, copywriters and stylists, briefing them on the creative strategy.
  • Actively participate in the early phase of ideation brainstorming sessions, challenging and supporting the team to generate ideas aligned with the strategy, consumer culture and commercial objectives.
  • Assist the creative team in conceptualising comprehensive content activations, to stand out in the competitive fashion, streetwear, sport and beauty space.
  • Promote diversity and inclusivity in strategies to celebrate Zalando’s diverse audience.
  • Inspire and educate colleagues beyond by constantly analysing consumer trends, cultural moments and trend reports for insights on fashion, beauty, lifestyle and tech that can inspire their work.
