Job Description
Lorvale Learning Centre is a private learning center based in Toronto. We provide enrichment programs to students aged 6-18 We are looking for part-time or full time public speaking and creative writing teachers to join us!

Requirements:

  • Dependable, organized, punctual, and patient, with a strong dedication to helping students achieve their full potential
  • Experienced in delivering creative writing and public speaking instruction through dynamic and engaging teaching methods
  • Proficient in designing individualized learning plans that align with each student’s unique goals and learning styles
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is considered an asset
  • Minimum of three years of teaching or tutoring experience required
  • Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

Responsibilities:

  • Create and prepare age/grade appropriate subject lesson plan
  • Deliver the lesson plan in an engaging and inspiring way
  • Evaluate student assignments
  • Periodically evaluate and communicate the progress of the students to center officers and parents
  • Actively participate in staff meetings
  • Willingness to assist in planning/implementing of special events and promotional activities for the center
  • Willingness to cover other teachers as required
