THE ROLE Our Crèche Assistants play a key role in creating an outstanding member experience by caring for children in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment while their caregivers train. The primary purpose of the role is to supervise, support, and engage children in the crèche, ensuring all safety procedures and crèche policies are followed at all times. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Childcare & Safety: Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of all children in the crèche Actively supervise children and respond to their needs with care and patience Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free space in line with health and safety requirements Assist with age-appropriate activities that encourage positive social interaction and development Follow the correct sign-in / sign-out procedures Customer Service: Greet parents and children warmly and create a friendly first impression Communicate with parents professionally, kindly, and confidently Support caregivers to understand and follow crèche guidelines, including any booking or registration processes Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment that reflects the One Playground brand Team Support: Work closely with the Crèche Supervisor and crèche team to ensure smooth daily operations Communicate clearly with other staff regarding child needs, incidents, or safety concerns ABOUT YOU Love working with children and supporting families Have an active lifestyle and are passionate about the fitness industry Friendly, calm, and confident with a warm communication style Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude Reliable, punctual, and professional Able to multitask while maintaining supervision and safety at all times Passionate about creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Working With Children Check (WWCC) First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with children is highly regarded WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU Work in a world-class gym environment like no other Join a company that’s going through rapid growth Be part of a supportive team culture built around Great Humans Ongoing development and learning opportunities A fun, engaging workplace where you can make a real difference every day For us it doesn’t matter if you have less experience or more; what matters is alignment with our culture, having a passion for what you do and growing with the business in a meaningful and impactful industry.
