Summary:
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting safe, high-quality healthcare? As a Credentialing Specialist – Facilities, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our provider network includes facilities that meet the highest regulatory standards. Your work directly safeguards our members, supports compliance, and helps strengthen trust in the care we deliver.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Credentialing Review & Evaluation – Review and process facility credentialing applications, verifying accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all requirements.
  • Communication & Relationship Building – Partner with facilities to resolve credentialing questions, collect missing details, and ensure a smooth, positive process.
  • Data Management – Keep credentialing systems and records accurate, up to date, and ready for review.
  • Recredentialing & Follow-Up – Manage recredentialing cycles, ensuring timely submissions and continued compliance.
  • Monitoring & Compliance – Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and other key documents; provide monthly compliance reports to the Credentialing Committee.
  • Sanctions & Exclusions Review – Monitor federal and state reports to ensure facilities remain in good standing.
  • Reporting & Documentation – Generate reports, share updates with internal teams, and issue formal notices when needed.
  • Collaboration & Support – Work closely with the contracting department and other internal teams to keep facility credentialing on track and transparent.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with credentialing databases is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
