Description
Performs complex, diversified administrative, clerical, operational and strategic functions. Responsible for preparing and submitting credentialing applications and supporting documentation for the purpose of medical staff and advanced practice providers credentialing and privileging in accordance with regulatory standards and TUHS guidelines. Ensure integrity of provider database. Works cooperatively/collaboratively with practitioners, their employer and office staff to facilitate the credentialing process. Also, supports the FPPE/OPPE functions, including assurance of timely evaluation and collection of data. Manages assigned duties/functions independently, maintain a high quality for detail and timeliness. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Associate's Degree Preferred Experience 2 years experience in physician credentialing in a health care environment Required General Experience and knowledge of physician credentialing software Required General Experience and knowledge of the Joint Commission standards, PA Department of Health regulations, and PA State Board of Medicine licensure requirements Required General Experience in a hospital setting Preferred Licenses Cert Provider Cred Splst Preferred or Cert Pro Med Serv Mgmt Preferred
