Description

Overview The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the processing credentialing applications for provider enrollments with various third party payer Qualifications Education: High School diploma or GED required. Experience 2-3 years in health care or medical business office office required. General understanding of credentialing requirements of most common third party payers preferred. Experience in provider credentialling or medical staff office desirable. Additional Skills/Abilities: Certified Professional Credentialling Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) desired. Computer literacy and proficiency in use of Microsoft Word & Excel required. Experience with Credential My Doc software desired but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated organizational skills.
