We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our Business Support team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations related to licensure, certification, and payer credentialing for our physicians and facilities. What You’ll Do As the Credentialing Specialist, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for all payer and provider credentialing activities. You’ll manage the full credentialing lifecycle—from applications and renewals to payer enrollments—ensuring that all provider information is accurate, complete, and compliant. Key Responsibilities: Process initial and re-credentialing applications for Raleigh Radiology providers and entities. Verify credentials, licensure, and certification information for all medical staff. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in VerityStream and other credentialing systems. Manage provider enrollments, re-enrollments, and payer contracts, ensuring timely submission. Respond to inquiries from providers, payers, and internal teams. Act as a liaison between administration, billing, and medical staff to resolve credentialing or contracting issues. Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information. Support accounting and billing teams with related credentialing documentation. Ensure compliance with all applicable credentialing, regulatory, and payer requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements What We’re Looking For: Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 1–3 years of credentialing experience required; prior experience in a healthcare or physician practice setting strongly preferred. Certifications: CPCS or CPMSM certification a plus but not required. Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Why Raleigh Radiology?
