Description This position is a Part Time, we prefer someone who can work in-house out of our Mount Pleasant location. We may be open to remote work if the person is near the office and can come in on occasion. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of credentialing processes and procedures while maintaining an accurate provider database and collecting and analyzing verification information for all healthcare professionals. This is a part time position at around 15 hours a week. Skills: 2-4 years experience in the healthcare field Ability to meet strict deadlines Attention to detail Good communication skills Fantastic Organizational Skills Knowledgeable in policies, laws, and procedures Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products) Position Requirements: Perform the entire credentialing process for healthcare providers, including initial applications, re-credentialing, and updates as required by insurance companies and healthcare organizations Collect and compile all necessary documentation and information required for credentialing applications, such as educational background, licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and professional references Conduct thorough verification of all submitted credentials, including contacting educational institutions, licensing boards, professional organizations, and previous employers to validate the accuracy and authenticity of the information provided Medicaid applications as required Prepare all paperwork for CAQH and NPI requirements Ensure that healthcare providers comply with the credentialing standards and requirements set by insurance companies, government regulations, and accrediting bodies Maintain regular communication with insurance companies, healthcare organizations, and providers to resolve any credentialing issues, respond to inquiries, and provide updates on the status of credentialing application Monitor and initiate the re-credentialing process for providers within specified time frames to ensure ongoing eligibility for participation in insurance networks
