Location: Des Peres, MO
Job Type: Contract – 26 Weeks (Opportunity for Conversion)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8am-5pm
Pay: $56 per hour

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and managing privilege forms for healthcare providers, while ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and organizational standards. This role supports the implementation of CredentialStream software and contributes to the standardization of credentialing and privileging processes across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in provider credentialing, privileging, or a similar role.
  • Experience with CredentialStream is required.
  • Proficiency in provider credentialing and privileging systems.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., TJC, NCQA, CMS).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the transition to CredentialStream credentialing software, including system implementation, data migration, and process optimization.
  • Design, develop, and maintain standardized privilege forms for healthcare providers across multiple facilities, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Analyze and assess existing credentialing and privileging processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform data cleanup in current systems (e.g., ECHO) to support accurate migration and reporting.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and external stakeholders to gather form requirements and ensure usability and compliance.
  • Maintain and update privilege forms to reflect evolving regulatory, legal, and accreditation standards (e.g., TJC, NCQA, CMS, state boards).
  • Review, develop, and revise credentialing policies and procedures to promote consistency across all facilities.
  • Conduct testing and validation of privilege forms and credentialing workflows to ensure functionality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Monitor and stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory updates, and credentialing trends.
  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of standardized forms and updated credentialing systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
