JOB DESCRIPTION

Credit Analyst (12 months FTC)

  • To serve as the primary credit partner, helping the Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions Department meet its goals through the provision of comprehensive credit application processing and business-focused administrative support.
  • The main responsibility of the Credit Analyst team is to produce and present high-quality analyses and recommendations for a portfolio of corporate clients, which includes annual reviews and new transaction requests. For new requests or clients above the London Branch’s approval authority.
  • The key objective of the Credit Analyst team is to ensure the bank develops client relationships while managing credit risk and adhering to regulatory standards. This is achieved through close collaboration with Relationship Managers and the bank’s Risk function.
  • To assist in relationship support tasks, such as preparing credit applications and credit ratings for the Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions Department.
  • To assist in the preparation of annual review reports for clients.
  • To assist in monitoring and reviewing facilities and loans post-drawdown, including maintaining efficient diary systems for covenant checks, timely reviews, waivers, and compliance/legal issues.
  • To consistently monitor the credit portfolio for any changes in credit quality due to counterparty-specific or broader market-related issues, providing recommendations for appropriate actions.
  • To remain highly aware of market trends in international business, including key developments in the UK and global credit markets.
