A minimum of three years’ analyst or accounting experience with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
While the incumbent must work closely with all members of the organization, he or she is expected to work with a strong degree of initiative and independence regarding assigned responsibilities.
Organizational skills, writing skills, effective interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic are also necessary to effectively carry out assigned responsibilities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail is required.

Responsibilities
  1. Support commercial lending by assisting in the credit decision process:
  • Obtain and analyze prospective borrower financial information.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in credit analysis tools and software; prepare financial spreads using such software and complete financial analysis.
  • Prepare credit approval write-ups including borrower background, description of transaction, collateral analysis, financial analysis, risk factors, and mitigants. Make recommendations to Loan Officers and report any credit concerns to Chief Lending Officer.
  • Obtain credit reports, searches, appraisals, and environmental studies; evaluate and identify potential risks.
  • Provide support to Loan Officers and Consumer Lending staff including contact and coordination with prospects and customers.
  • Participate in Senior and Director Loan Committee meetings as needed.
  • Monitor the Commercial Lending’s maturities list, renewal dates, and annual review dates; proactively address these borrowers and dates.
  1. Support the administration of the commercial and consumer loan portfolios:
  • Monitor borrowers’ compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements; coordinate with Loan Officers to contact customers and obtain information as required.
  • Monitor compliance with various federal and state consumer compliance regulations applicable to lending, including Reg. B, Reg. O, Reg. Z, Fair Lending, RESPA, Appraisal Reviews, and HMDA.
  • Prepare, maintain, and/or review various portfolio management reports including but not limited to new loans, loan changes, delinquencies, and payoffs; maintain the Watch List with historical and tracking information for loans classified as “Special Mention” or worse and for loans classified as “Impaired”.
  • Monitor and track any required information as it relates to the specific requirements of a borrowing relationship as needed.
  • Serve as a customer service representative for commercial borrowing customers, and coordinate services with retail banking representatives and others within the organization.
  1. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements, as concerns the lending functions.
  2. Maintain a high standard of knowledge relating to bank compliance regulations, bank policies and procedures, including related Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Perform other duties in a professional capacity as required.
