NBAZ is looking for a Credit Analyst to join Arizona’s #1 Community Bank in our Biltmore Corporate Office in Phoenix (AZ). Our Credit Analysts identify and evaluate financial, and other risks associated with our business customers. Our analysts enable sound credit decisions by providing extensive knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending, underwriting processes, and principles. Essential Functions: Conduct credit investigations, credit, and loan analysis, underwriting and other documentation review pertaining to loan analysis. Investigate all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches. Analyze financial conditions and trends, reviews, and reports non-compliance with loan covenants. Prepare summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning creditworthiness and any risk items or issues. Spread customer financial statements. Complete on-going review of covenants and follow-up. Determine cash flow using appropriate financial analysis tools. Prepare cash flow analysis on personal tax returns. Provide frequent internal and external customer contact. May assist with projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors in finance, business, accounting or a related field and 1+ yrs credit/financial analysis, lending, underwriting or other directly related experience preferred. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements. Basic working knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles. Some experience working with various types of loans. Basic working knowledge of credit risk, legal and regulatory requirements. Ability to work with lending officers and staff. Good client relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations regarding loans. Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc. required. Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm.
