Description FAME is looking to add to our Credit Team. The Credit Analyst is responsible for the financial analysis of our commercial product loans of varying complexity and size. Identifying risk, reviewing requests for exceptions and evaluating loan structure are all components of this role. The Credit Analyst is responsible for providing timely and accurate analysis of financial statements on commercial loans participating in FAME’s commercial lending products. This role will provide underwriting support for our commercial programs in accordance with loan policy and risk rating functions. Analyzes all aspects of credit, prepares reports on findings and makes recommendations on decision and structure. The analyst is responsible for timely and up-to-date documentation in all loan files and systems. The ideal candidate will be a skilled analyst with commercial loan underwriting experience. The ability to make interpretive analyses of financial statements and supporting documentation on new and existing commercial loans; prepare appropriate documentation to assist in the loan decision-making process. You will be required to review and analyze updated financial statements and supporting documentation on existing loans on at least an annual basis and make recommendations as appropriate regarding loan status and risk rating guidelines. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $60,000 - $72,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off (13 holidays, vacation, personal days and sick leave), health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, tuition benefits for employees, and a 457(b) retirement plan with 8% employer contribution. Work Schedule and Location: Primarily based in our Augusta office location, ability to work a remote schedule after initial training and orientation. Requirements Minimum four-year degree in related field (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience). Two (2) years related work experience, preferably in commercial lending. Knowledge of credit and lending criteria and loan operations. Knowledge of accounting principles. Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. Extensive knowledge of Excel is required; must also have Microsoft Word skills.
