Job Summary:
As a member of Element’s Credit team, this role contributes to Element’s profitable growth through the timely completion of high-quality credit underwriting and portfolio management duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed written analysis of current and prospective commercial customer credit requests in a timely manner, concisely identifying relevant credit risks, mitigating factors, and recommending appropriate deal structures for management review and approval
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of assigned portfolio of accounts, completing annual renewals ahead of expirations and identifying potential problem accounts for enhanced monitoring
  • Consult and communicate with internal and external customers as necessary in completing credit-related requests, including underwriting, documentation and obtaining necessary deal structure requirements when applicable
  • Obtain, investigate and analyze credit data; Spread financial statements
  • Adhere to credit and operational policies and procedures, including completion of routine know-your-customer due diligence.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of underwriting or financial statement analysis experience in banking, commercial lending/leasing or financial services industries
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize assigned workload to meet established deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills with the ability work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet-based applications
  • Detail orientation and strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity
