MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business
  • 2+ years of experience in the credit and collections process
  • Strong analytical skills and the desire to promote program growth and process improvement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the company
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally using tact and courtesy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level in Excel)
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage with customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and handle objections.
  • Ability to develop and manage customer and store associate relationships

Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

Floor & Decor is looking for a motivated and experienced Credit Analyst to join our Credit and Collections team supporting our growing Commercial Business Account (CBA) program. This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial collections experience in the construction or materials industry, who can balance collections, credit processing, and customer relationship management in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You will report to the Manager, Credit and Collections and collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external customers. As a key contributor, you will help manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, resolve payment issues, analyze credit applications, and support program development and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create, prepare and update reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Resolve complaints by investigating issues and composing responses
  • Perform billing and reconciliation activities
  • Prepare statements and other supporting documentation as necessary to generate prompt customer payments and manage AR portfolio including customer refunds
  • Work directly with customers, Pro store associates, store managers, outside credit agencies and Treasury to facilitate credit and billing solutions
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to perform variance analysis and advise on action steps in resolving discrepancies
  • Gather financial information from customer web-sites, D & B, Credit Risk Monitor and other available tools.
  • Assist with training F&D associates about the commercial credit programs and their features
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Provide timely response to all customers inquires
  • This person may be responsible for collections, cash applications, disputes and /or any other job-related duties or special projects as assignee
