Position: Credit Analyst
Location: Burlington, ON
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Flexible)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Term: 4-6 month contract (Strong possibility of extension or permanent hire)
Reports To: Customer Credit Manager

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced credit professional to join a well-established, national finance team. The Credit Analyst will be a key contributor to the credit adjudication process, working closely with internal stakeholders to assess credit applications, manage risk, and maintain accurate customer data. By enabling sound credit decisions, this role directly supports customer satisfaction, business growth, and risk mitigation across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and process new credit applications, credit limit adjustments, and customer account modifications in accordance with internal credit policies.
  • Analyze credit data and reports to assess and manage credit risk within assigned portfolios.
  • Communicate proactively with branch and sales teams, as well as senior leadership, to report on credit risks and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Provide thoughtful insights and risk assessments that align with overall business strategy.
  • Support various finance and operational initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a credit analysis or adjudication role; industry experience (e.g., construction or industrial distribution) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with AS400 systems and credit bureau tools is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements is beneficial.
