Summary: The Credit Analyst II is responsible for performing detailed credit analysis, underwriting support, and portfolio monitoring for commercial loan relationships. This role focuses on business customers with aggregate exposure exceeding $1MM (inclusive of existing and proposed credit facilities), with increasing responsibility for more complex credits. The analyst prepares comprehensive financial analyses, evaluates repayment capacity, and contributes meaningfully to credit decision-making. QualificationsEducation, Skills & Experience necessary and Equipment Skills: Resume required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or related field. 2–5 years of commercial credit analysis or related banking experience. Experience analyzing commercial loan relationships (preferably >$1MM exposure). Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Ability to perform cash flow analysis, including debt service coverage calculations. Strong attention to detail in order to maintain high standards of accuracy in financial analysis reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to demonstrate sound judgement in identifying credit strengths and weaknesses. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial spreading systems (or ability to learn quickly). Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in preparing credit memoranda and clearly articulating financial and risk concepts. Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle a pipeline of credit requests and portfolio responsibilities Credit judgement skills with willingness to develop this skill and progress toward independent underwriting capability.
