Description

About this job

Credit Analyst (m/w/d) – Corporate Credit & Risk

Frankfurt am Main | Full-time | €60,000 – €80,000 per year

What this is really about

Credit decisions are more than just numbers in a system.

They decide which companies can grow, which investments become possible, and how economic development is financed in general. It is precisely within this complex environment that you operate in this role.

They not only analyze risks, they also contribute to ensuring that capital is used responsibly. In an international banking environment, this also means that decisions often have cross-border implications and must be both economically sound and regulatory compliant.

Why this role is attractive to many who "want more"

Many credit analyst roles end up simply evaluating loan files.

Here it's different: You are part of the decision-making process.

Your analysis directly informs credit committees and influences real financing decisions. At the same time, you operate in an environment where stability, risk awareness, and sound decision-making logic are not "nice to have," but a central component of the banking business.

This creates a combination of:

• analytical depth

• Responsibility for real economic decisions

and insights into international corporate finance

Your tasks

Credit analysis with impact

• Analysis of the creditworthiness of corporate clients based on financial and qualitative factors

• Evaluation of business models, cash flows and risk structures

• Preparation of credit and rating assessments, which form the basis for financing decisions.

• Preparation and presentation of loan proposals to internal committees

Decision-making credit processes

• Active participation in the Credit Committee process (preparation, documentation, follow-up)

• Professional analysis and discussion of credit decisions

• Ensuring comprehensible and consistent decision-making bases

Risk management throughout the life cycle

• Ongoing monitoring of existing loan commitments

• Early detection of risk developments (watchlist, intensive monitoring, problematic engagements)

• Assessment of changes in business situations and markets

Structure & Responsibility in Banking Operations

• Review of disbursement requirements and loan terms

• Support with regulatory filings and large loan reporting

• Maintenance and structuring of credit-relevant data and documentation

• Collaboration with Relationship Management, Risk and Operations

Your profile

• Studies in economics, finance, banking or a comparable field

• 3–5 years of experience in the lending department of a bank or financial services provider

• Solid understanding of balance sheet analysis, credit valuation, and risk assessment

• Interest in economic contexts and business models

Prior experience in monitoring commitments or non-performing loans is advantageous.

• Highly structured, meticulous and responsible work ethic

• Confident use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

• Very good German and English skills
