Job Title: Credit Analyst (On-Site Position), Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team at MRV Banks. As a credit analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating loan applications and ensuring sound credit decisions. You’ll work closely with loan officers and other internal stakeholders to access borrower creditworthiness through detailed financial analysis, helping to safeguard the bank’s lending portfolio while supporting our client’s financial goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience )
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple credit analysis assignments and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in credit analysis, lending, or financial risk assessment
  • Proficiency in financial statement analysis and Excel-based modeling
  • Knowledge of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements, and lending policies

Responsibilities
  • Credit Evaluation: Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.
  • Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Evaluate credit risk by considering financial position, payment history, industry conditions, and economic trends. Monitor existing credit facilities for early warning signs of potential issues.
  • Loan Structuring & Collaboration: Work closely with Loan Officers and internal teams to structure loans that align with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory standards.
  • Financial Spreading & Analysis: Standardize and interpret financial data to support consistent credit decision-making.
  • Market & Industry Research: Conduct industry and market analysis to identify risks and opportunities related to specific sectors.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all credit assessments comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Prepare detailed credit memos and present recommendations to management and credit committees.
  • Internal Communication: Communicate credit findings clearly to internal stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
