QUALITY CONTROL MORTGAGE LOAN CREDIT ANALYST

Direct Hire – 100% Remote – 55K-75K / year

Required:

• At least 2 years of processing or closing experience
• Familiar with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, USDA, VA file documentation and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Gain a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and agency quality control requirements to be able to review mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with these requirements.
• Self-prepare reviews of assigned portions of loan files each day for program eligibility, calculation and analysis of income (DTI), Loan-to-Value, assets, liabilities, supporting documentation and credit reports. Determine whether red flags exist by analyzing all file documentation and verifying pertinent file documents. Perform a review of the appraisal to ensure the validity of comparable, value and appraisal data in accordance with program guidelines. Document exceptions noted in the loan files in a comprehensive and understandable manner. File completion goal will be determined by supervisor.
• Self –prepare reviews of assigned loan files for compliance with federal consumer regulations by comparing documents in the loan file to applicable federal regulations being reviewed. Document exceptions noted in the loan files in a comprehensive and understandable manner. File completion goals will be determined by supervisor.
• Assist QC Manager with ACES system updates and thoroughly learn the ACES system.
• Assist in monthly loan file selections for Post-Closing Quality Control.
• Assist in re-verifications of assets, income and employment for Post-Closing Quality Control.
• Maintain an awareness of current and pending regulatory developments and industry trends.
• Attend training in assigned classes, webinars and seminars.
• Meet all assigned deadlines.
• Be adaptable in the work environment and work well with others.
• Work with manager to establish production and quality goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificate
• At least 2 years of processing or closing experience
• Familiar with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, USDA, VA file documentation and guidelines.
• Excellent computer skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and orally
• Strong written communication skills.
