Description:

We are in search of a meticulous Credit Analyst to be a part of our team based in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The Credit Analyst will play a key role in evaluating credit applications, managing customer accounts, and resolving customer queries. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, assessing risk levels, and ensuring the smooth running of credit operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess the financial statements of new customer credit applications to evaluate the risk level
  • Effectively manage and maintain lien and bond rights across multiple states
  • Handle unpaid or partially paid invoices, identify the root cause, and collaborate with customers or sales teams to formulate a payment plan
  • Examine customer accounts on hold and make decisions on the release of new orders
  • Conduct account reconciliations to identify required adjustments, refunds, or write-offs
  • Oversee aged accounts receivable ensuring detailed, clear notes are maintained on why a balance is still outstanding on invoices
  • Complete lien waivers as requested by customers or other stakeholders
  • Promptly inform the management of any issues or concerns in obtaining payments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, tax, and contract teams to make sound credit and collections decisions
  • Review project/job sheets to determine risk levels and take appropriate actions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in accounts receivable (AR)
  • Demonstrable experience in cash flow analysis
  • Proficient understanding of collection processes
  • Solid knowledge of credit and credit applications
  • Experience with lien waivers and account reconciliation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required*
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
