About the Role; The Credit Analyst role is responsible for evaluating the financial background and creditworthiness of applicants seeking auto loans or lease financing. In this role you will have the opportunity to use financial data, credit reports, and other relevant information to make informed decisions and recommendations on loan approvals. Your analysis will directly influence the company’s risk management and profitability. Key Deliverables; Review and analyse loan applications, including credit reports, income statements, and other financial documents. Assess the applicant’s ability to repay the loan based on credit history, income, employment stability, and debt-to-income ratio. Identify potential red flags or high-risk applicants and escalate as appropriate for further review. Make recommendations to decision loan applications based on your overall assessment while adhering to policy, procedure and guidelines. Collaborate with sales, operations, and underwriting teams to ensure a great customer experience is provided. Ensuring all assessments are conducted with appropriate research and reflect current polices and standards. Key Stakeholders; Dealer Managers Dealerships POI & Settlements Risk Qualifications; Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred but not essential. Experience; Prior credit underwriting experience is essential. Exposure to consumer and commercial lending is preferred. Auto finance industry experience is highly regarded. Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessment tools. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and other analytical tools.
