Confidential Non-Bank Lender | Mission-Driven Financial Institution
Are you a community banker looking to make a deeper impact? Join a growing, purpose-driven financial organization committed to supporting small businesses and underserved communities. We’re seeking a Credit Analyst with strong underwriting experience and a passion for relationship lending to support our commercial lending team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with senior credit professionals to analyze and structure loans that help small businesses grow. If you’re currently working at a community bank and looking for a new way to apply your skills in a mission-focused environment, this is a unique opportunity to do just that—without the bureaucracy of traditional banking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, preferably at a community bank or CDFI.
  • Familiarity with small business and commercial lending documentation and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and multiple data management systems.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced lending environment.
  • Committed to providing exceptional service to clients and team members alike.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and verify submitted financial information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and credit spreads.
  • Perform credit risk analysis for complex clients and non-standard deal structures.
  • Communicate directly with borrowers to gather information, clarify financials, and discuss analysis results.
  • Draft and present credit memos and recommendations to loan committee.
  • Support the underwriting process by entering and updating data in Salesforce.
  • Generate term sheets and other loan documents post-approval.
  • Take ownership of higher-risk or more complex credit analyses as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the credit and lending teams.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
