Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful, growing business based in Wiltshire for an experienced Credit & Billing Team Leader to join their expanding finance department. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a small, dedicated team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes.
The Role
You’ll manage a team of three billing administrators, acting as the link between credit control and billing, and ensuring that client invoicing runs smoothly. The role is varied, hands-on, and perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of three billing administrators
  • Reconcile operational delivery with client invoices
  • Assist with client billing queries, ensuring timely resolution
  • Chase missing purchase orders (POs) where required
  • Act as the “bridge” between the credit control and billing functions
  • Liaise with credit control/finance departments on invoice queries
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover within the team
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team on process improvements
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties to support the needs of the team

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a billing, credit control, or finance team leadership role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
