Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst for a leading financial institution based in McLean, VA. The Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst will be responsible for identifying and resolving anomalies in credit reporting data to ensure compliance with Metro II Standards and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE CREDIT BUREAU REPORTING ANALYST INCLUDE:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in FCRA, Metro II Standards, and CRRG.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable to change.
Responsibilities
  • Reconcile Metro II files furnished by PenFed to the CRAs monthly.
  • Identify and investigate anomalies within Metro II files and propose timely resolutions.
  • Test Credit Bureau reporting logic updates to servicing systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with operational business units to ensure accurate credit reporting processes.
  • Partner directly with CRAs (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion, Innovis) to resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Update and maintain Credit Bureau Reporting Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance with FCRA and CDIA requirements.
  • Prepare monthly Credit Dispute Reports and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance including FCRA, BSA, and AML.
