                                                                                                                                               Job Description  Credit Card Specialist    Location: Belzoni (Preferred) Department:    Credit Card Department Reports to: Credit Card Manager Positions Supervised: None Employee Classification: ☐  Temporary      ☒  Regular Full Time   ☐      Part-Time FLSA Status: ☒  Non-Exempt   ☐ Salary   ☒  Hourly      ☐     Exempt   ☐   Commission   Position Summary:   The purpose of this job is to be the link between branches and the credit card department by providing support to branches for daily credit card maintenance, posting payments, filing and working credit card disputes, issuing new accounts and working fraud alerts.   Essential Functions-Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities (90%): Reasonable Accommodations Statement To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodation can be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Essential Task Statement(s)    Branch Credit/Ownership (80%) Any credit card related daily maintenance mentioned below, but not limited to, that may be required to achieve a common goal as a team. * Review incoming branch payments. Perform a check-back and posting the payments to the various different credit card accounts. * Receive, work and respond to all general inquiries received from other departments in the bank. * Receive, work and update all other departments relevant on confirmed fraud cases from initiation to completion. * Receive, work and issue all new accounts approved by either the commercial lending or consumer lending departments. * Provide support to other employees in a professional and respectable manner if and when needed. * Clearly communicate time off with management to avoid negatively affecting any workflow or process. * Answer calls and emails from employees in a timely manner. * Maintains confidentiality with exposure to confidential information and must not discuss bank business with others and only internally with employees on a need-to-know business basis.  * Ensure bank is in compliance with federal banking regulations including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, American with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Truth-In-Lending Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Act, the Federal Reserve’s “lettered” regulations, and Credit Card Specialist roles and responsibilities relating to each act.    Customer Service (10%) * Represent Guaranty Bank & Trust Company professionally, efficiently, and tactfully * Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile, call customers by their name, ask if they need any additional assistance, thank customers at end of every conversation * Ensure continuing development of professional relationships with management and colleagues.  * Follow all bank policies and procedures * Answer and assist incoming callers with questions and requests, subsequently route callers, as appropriate. * Receive incoming bank visitors and assist in directing them appropriately.     Additional Functions-Secondary Responsibilities and Accountabilities (10%)   Additional Task Statement(s) * Work overtime, as needed. * Follow all bank policies and procedures * Provide assistance to other departments as needed. * Perform other duties that may be assigned and requested.   Position Qualifications   Education:        Required – High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred – Post –secondary certificate or degree, experience will be considered. Experience:     Required – 0 to 1 years of experience in banking or a related area.
