OVERVIEW

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to effectively monitor accounts payable and receivable.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role, preferably within the financial services sector
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective client interaction
  • Experience in data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with telemarketing techniques is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions and account updates
  • Utilise telemarketing skills to follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all credit control activities
  • Provide reports on outstanding debts and cash flow forecasts to senior management
