CREDIT CONTROLLER

£24,570 - £25,500 plus great benefits (Work level 6C)
Manchester city centre, hybrid working with 1 day a week in the office (usually Tuesday or Thursday)
Monday to Friday with some Saturday morning work when required (once in every 4 weeks)
We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Co-op. You’ll be working within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.
Our Credit Control team play a key role in driving the commercial performance of our business. It’ll be your job to look after accounts receivable, chasing outstanding payments in an appropriate and sensitive way. You’ll receive training to make sure you provide the best possible service, helping customers through a difficult time, whilst making sure any outstanding debts are cleared.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Chase payments and negotiate payment plans to help customers meet their obligations
  • Monitor instalment plans and make sure payments are made in line with the set time scales
  • Collaborate with team members to provide the best possible overall service
  • Use Microsoft Excel to track accounts and payment plans

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE

  • Experience in a credit control environment
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Great communication, negotiation and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent customer service skills, maintaining an empathetic approach to customers at all times
