We are currently hiring a credit controller/finance assistant to join our Corporate Services team in Hartlebury, UK, on a permanent basis. This key role will be joining an existing team of management accountants and purchase ledger clerk. We offer genuine opportunities for enhancing knowledge and experience.
This position will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
The Credit Controller will work as part of the Corporate Service team, posting cash in a timely manner and ensuring debtors ledgers are accurate, whilst providing reports to key account managers and senior management team.
Main Responsibilities:
In addition to performing such other duties as may reasonably be required; they will also perform the key tasks below:
To progress Posting cash on a daily basis for each bank account, ensuring accuracy and posted in a timely manner.
Daily, weekly, monthly reporting of cash collected and variance to target and bank balance report. This will include regularly accessing the various online banking systems.
Liaising with the company’s business units / account managers to resolve customer queries and remove the reasons for delays in payment.
Building good working relationships with key account managers and ensuring regular communication.
Active monitoring of critical payment dates of key client monthly payroll invoices that will be defined.
Alerting the account manager and payroll team of high-risk non-payments that will impact the timing of the related payroll release. If any of these critical deadlines are missed, then senior management are to be advised for authority to release or hold the related payroll.
To perform credit checks of all new customer accounts open and ad hoc requests for existing customers, including maintaining alerts/monitoring activities against credit limits as required and automating these processes where possible in the systems.
