In this role, you will maintain accurate collection records, track outstanding balances, and apply credit procedures to resolve overdue accounts. Working closely with clients and Partners, you’ll help address payment queries and support strong working relationships. Your contribution will play a vital role in strengthening cash flow, reducing financial risk, and supporting the firm’s overall growth.   Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage client accounts to ensure invoices are paid on time Produce regular reports on outstanding balances and WIP to inform decision making Issue invoices and statements in line with credit policies and client agreements Engage with clients to follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements where required Collaborate with partners, legal teams, and finance to resolve billing or payment queries promptly Apply credit control policies effectively and escalate high risk accounts when necessary Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in credit management Assist with daily banking activities, including identifying funds received Maintain accurate client records, document collection notes, and process credits and write offs in accordance with approvals and policy Contribute to other tasks as directed   About You Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a credit collection role with exposure to billings, credit, and collection Solid understanding of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable Cycle Performance driven mindset with demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding KPIs in high volume collection environments Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to manage client and partner relationships professionally Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across various teams Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills, and experience using ERP systems Tertiary qualification in Finance or a related discipline preferred  Why DentonsDentons Australia offers a wide range of incentives aimed at embracing your authenticity, providing purpose, and strengthening your ongoing development. We offer: Equitable salary packaging, incentive pay and rewards Salary continuous insurance (for permanent employees or employees on a 6 month or more maximum term contract basis) Salary sacrificing and novated leases 5 days Bonus Leave per year after 12 months of service Additional leave options Equal family leave for all genders (including kinship groups) Floating public holidays for days of cultural significance Exclusive retailer discounts Offices designed for collaboration on Gadigal, Naarm, Yuggera, Kaurna and Whadjuk land Learning & Development opportunities Generous health and wellbeing programs Agile and flexible working for all Social and diversity networks providing year-round events Opportunities to undertake pro-bono legal work Diversity, Equality & InclusionEmbedded in our people is a passion to help others through the delivery of justice.
