Responsibilities

ROLE PRIORITIES

The Credit Controller will be responsible for the collection of outstanding debt and management of a defined section of Aged Debt within the business; this is to be completed within credit terms.
The Credit Controller will report to the Operational Finance Manager on a weekly basis regarding progress on outstanding debts and activities undertaken as part of the role.

ROLE OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply legal changes to customer records as per current company process.
  • Collection of outstanding monies due to the business up to Legal Action.
  • Encouraging any customer without any Terms to sign up for DD Collection.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of activity on company financial system.
  • Where appropriate and with authorisation from the Operational Finance Manager negotiate customer payment plans recording plans accurately on system, communicate agreement and expectations with the customer. Ensuring agreed payment plans are discharged as per agreement or revert to normal company collection process.
  • Working the credit control administration team to ensure customer disputes are logged and resolved within company SLAs, providing updates to customers on any disputed invoices when contacting the customer for collection of non-disputed invoices.
  • Authorising order conversion for customers over credit limit.
  • Provide weekly report on outstanding and overdue debt to Operational Finance Manager, specifying potential risk.
  • Report on own weekly activity as outlined by Operational Finance Manager.
  • Assist Credit Control Administrator as requested.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested.
