JOB SPECIFICATION

Reports to: Finance Director
Contract: Fixed-Term, 1 to 3 Months (with opportunity to become permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00
Based: Glasgow HQ
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 (dependent on experience).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good communication skills
  • Competence with Credit Safe
  • Finance System Experience
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Security or Construction industry experience is desirable but not a necessity.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Credit Controller with a minimum of three years experience’ as a Credit Controller. You will be an effective communicator at all levels. An educated knowledge of finance systems with a collections module is desired for this role.
This is for a fixed-term contract (minimum 1 month, maximum 3 months), however, there may be an opportunity to move to a permanent contract.
You will report to the Finance Director and be part of a team of 2 Credit Controllers within our Finance Department.
The successful candidate will have experience in maintaining accurate records with strong attention to detail, in addition to excellence customer service skills and time-keeping skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Credit Control procedures and contribute to team targets
  • Lead query resolution
  • Create and maintain excellent customer relationships through professional dealings with customers
  • Maintain accurate records and communications
  • Manage and motivate a small team of Credit Controllers
  • Hit management KPIs
  • Manage and raise LBA requests
  • Manage and chase Writ proceedings
  • Run reminders
  • Post cash daily
  • Chase and apply Client remittance
  • Manage legal tab on Debtor Tracker
  • Chase missed or short promised payments
