Description

A position has become available for a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Clerk, based covering both PFF Packaging and PFF Packaging NE. The role will be based at the Keighley site Working Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Financial Controller this autonomous position will be a challenging role requiring a person who can adapt and be flexible in managing their duties.
Main Purpose: The primary responsibility of the role will be to manage and track outstanding customer debts, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping of sales invoices. This role involves tasks such as managing the sales ledger, chasing overdue payments, reconciling accounts, and liaising with customers and internal departments to resolve issues.
The secondary responsibility of the role will be to assist with reception duties in answering telephone calls and dealing with visitors and callers to site.

Responsibilities

· Maintaining accurate records of all sales, including invoices, credit notes, and payments.
· Contacting customers to remind them of outstanding debts and arranging payment plans.
· Verifying that all payments received are correctly allocated to the appropriate invoices.
· Addressing customer questions and concerns related to invoices, credit terms, and payments.
· Working with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve payment-related issues.
· Generating reports on outstanding debts and payment trends.
· Assist with answering, screen, and forwarding incoming phone calls in compliance with GDPR.
· Greet and offer visitors refreshments and direct to the appropriate person.
· Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries when required.
The successful candidate should have:

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Proficiency in accounting software
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £15,000 (22.5 paid hours per week) 5 days Monday to Friday 5 hrs per day half hour lunch break
