Description
The purpose of the Credit Lead role is to effectively manage and lead the Global Business Services’ (GBS) credit team to achieve targets and key performance indicators in line with credit objectives whilst minimising credit risk. This role reports to the GBS Head of Finance. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Debtor Management: o Proactively ensure that all receivables for accounts managed by the GBS are receipted and allocated within the predefined service level agreement (SLA) timeframe with each Operating Unit. o Ensure that a standard process is followed for receipting and allocation. o Ensure accurate cash receipting and application processes. o Ensure all securities for accounts managed by the GBS are registered in the GBS and expiry dates monitored and shared before expiry within predefined service level agreement (SLA) timeframe. · Customer Administration: o Efficient management of the aviation invoicing process. o Managing the transactional processing of non-product debit and credit notes incl. bulk mass uploads o Managing key customer requirements of processing into Coupa and Ariba procurement systems. · Credit Risk Management: (Only South OU - customers o Overview of the risk profiles of customers managed by the GBS within policy and internal guidelines. · Customer Account Management: (Only South OU - customers o Establish business controls that allows tracking, overseeing and management of customer queries for accounts managed by the GBS, payment disputes and reconciliations with no deviations from the policy to ensure adherence to Group audit and continuous business process improvement. o Maintaining a balance between collection efficiency and customer relationship management. · Business Controls Management: o Ensure that all necessary business controls are adequately implemented and adhered to. Further ensure that deviations are reported and approved to ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies and procedures. · NQF Level 7 qualification (bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Law) required. · More than 5 years’ Credit management experience required in oil company / commercial environment. · Experience with ERP systems, credit management software and automation tools. · Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, automation tools, and workflow optimisation. · Ability to lead, influence and deliver results in a fast paced, matrixed environment. · Excellent communicator and well developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities
Lead the Global Business Services credit team to achieve targets and minimize credit risk through effective debtor and risk management. Oversee customer administration, business controls, and the Order-to-Cash process to ensure compliance with company policies.
