POSITION SUMMARY: The Loan Servicing Specialist II plays a key role in the integrity and accuracy of the loan servicing function by performing a variety of daily functions within the loan servicing department, in addition to advanced tasks related to the loan booking and balancing process. This role requires a strong working knowledge of the core banking system and its corresponding loan-related platforms. This role ensures that new loans are booked accurately and timely, general ledger accounts are properly balanced, and system reporting is reviewed and reconciled. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Books new and renewed loans of all types into the core banking system using both manual and automated processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of loan documentation, loan terms, and system coding during booking. Coordinates with lenders, loan processors, and supervisor to resolve discrepancies prior to final loan setup, verifying proper assignment of collateral, payment schedules, rates, and escrow settings. Monitors and responds to booking-related requests generated through workflows and the loan operating system. Reviews and acts on a variety of daily and periodic reports, including AFTs closed/rate maintenance, expiring lines of credit report, extension and renewal report; identifies and addresses exceptions and system issues noted on reports to ensure up-to-date loan records. Responds to inquiries regarding loan servicing issues from customers, branches, lenders, and administrative staff. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum one (1) year of experience in loan servicing, balancing and loan boarding in core system, including familiarity with loan terminology preferred Experience with Jack Henry and loan operating systems a plus EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING: High school diploma or GED required JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team Organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills Working knowledge of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail RCB Bank is an EOE.
