Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Shared Services, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction, performance and continuous improvement of a large, national credit team. Leading 4 direct reports and a team of approximately 40 indirect reports, you'll play a key role in strengthening credit governance, minimising risk, improving cash flow and supporting business growth.

You will lead the ongoing centralisation and standardisation of credit operations across Bapcor's diverse portfolio, ensuring efficient, scalable and robust processes that support both customers and the business.

  • Develop and implement group-wide credit policies, collection strategies and credit risk frameworks that support growth while mitigating risk.
  • Drive the ongoing transformation and standardisation of credit processes across multiple business units and ERP systems.
  • Monitor and manage credit exposure, bad debt risk, working capital performance and collections effectiveness across the Group.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful management reporting, dashboards and performance metrics to support decision-making and governance.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, segregation of duties and fraud prevention processes are maintained across the function.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations and Business Unit leadership teams to identify process improvements and optimise customer credit management.
  • Lead key strategic projects, including credit centralisation initiatives, credit limit reviews and Shared Services transformation activities.
