Description CERTEX USA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Credit Manager to join our team in our Phoenix, AZ corporate office! Position Overview The Credit and Collections analyzes credit history and information related to applications for credit and overdue/delinquent accounts. Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties Review customer credit information to establish credit limits, ongoing monitoring of credit limits. Review customer contracts for billing requirements, payment terms, and other applicable provisions. Monitor AR aging to ensure customer balances are complete and accurate. Identify and follow-up on past due customer accounts. Perform timely and accurate cash posting of customer and non-AR cash receipts, including assessment of payments within prompt pay terms. Monitor actual and potential customer claims and back charges. Evaluate sales for taxability; maintain current customer exemption certificates. Enter and maintain sales tax codes Take action to remain in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements regarding debt collection. Initiate filing of bond and lien notices for billings related to publicly funded projects. Coordinate closely with Sales and Operations on customer credit limits, credit holds, order releases, and collection activity. Identify specific account reserves and general allowance for doubtful accounts based on historical write-off rates. Required Skills/Abilities Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Must have knowledge of accounting systems and be able to quickly learn other financial systems Must possess strong written and verbal skills to communicate technical subject matter Excellent problem solving and analysis skills Must be precise and detail oriented Ability to multi-task and balance priorities to meet deadlines Other Requirements Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check Be able to provide valid documentation to provide proof of citizenship in accordance with I-9 document Display a professional and courteous attitude Report to work at the designated start timeWilling to travel to various work sites as require (rarely occurs) Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company’s “Stop Work” policy Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designation operations and production areas as directed Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-worker and Supervisor with other duties as required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Associate or Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) 2-5+ years of relevant Credit Analyst experience Proficient with Excel and Word Working Conditions, Hours, Travel • Most work is performed in an office/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. • This is a full-time position. The standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Travel to visit customers within in region as well as occasional travel for meetings or training outside the region is expected for this position Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and completing tax filings. Proficiency in using computers, accounting software, and office equipment such as printers, scanners, and calculators. Clear vision to read small print on financial statements, contracts, and other documents. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, handle complex financial issues, and work effectively under pressure.
