The Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing financial services organisation seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager to play a key role in the management and enhancement of its credit risk framework.

This position will be responsible for providing independent oversight of credit risk across lending portfolios, supporting strategic decision-making, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring credit risk practices align with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks, trends, concentrations and areas requiring management action.
• Develop, review and enhance credit risk policies, frameworks, standards and procedures.
• Provide second-line oversight and challenge to credit decisioning, underwriting and portfolio management activities.
• Deliver insightful credit risk reporting, including risk appetite metrics, portfolio analytics and management information.
• Support stress testing, scenario analysis and portfolio reviews.
• Partner with business stakeholders to improve risk management practices while supporting commercial objectives.
• Assess new products, policy changes and strategic initiatives from a credit risk perspective.
• Support internal audit, regulatory reviews and risk governance activities.
• Prepare papers and reporting for executive management, risk committees and senior stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with risk appetite, lending standards and regulatory requirements.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in a Credit Risk Manager, Senior Credit Risk Analyst, Portfolio Risk Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of consumer, commercial, SME or asset finance lending.
