OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credit Manager to join our client finance team in the Manufacturing Industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and financial management, with expertise in credit analysis, accounts receivable, and corporate accounting. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of our organization by managing credit risk, overseeing collections, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a credit management or similar role within the manufacturing financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with various accounting software platforms (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and telemarketing practices can be beneficial for this role.
  • Excellent negotiation skills combined with strong math abilities for accurate financial assessments.
  • Proficient in data entry with a focus on accuracy; experience with 10 key typing is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills including phone etiquette to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the credit evaluation process for new and existing clients, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis to assess customer creditworthiness and mitigate financial risk.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to implement effective revenue cycle management strategies.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for accurate data entry and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and other relevant financial standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while negotiating payment terms with clients and handling medical collections when necessary.
  • Analyze financial concepts related to corporate accounting, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including medical billing and CPT coding where applicable.
  • Prepare reports on account analysis and provide insights to senior management regarding credit trends.
