JOB SUMMARY:

Polar Beverages, one of the premier independent manufacturers and distributors of beverages, is interviewing for an experienced hands-on Credit Manager for our Worcester, MA location to manage a diverse $100M+ portfolio. The Credit Manager will direct a twelve member team, including eight credit associates and four cash application associates, to proactively drive the credit management, new account set up, and cash application functions. Qualifications/Skills:

• 5 + minimum years of experience managing a credit department in a large volume, highly interactive, and fast paced environment.
• Previous experience of managing a team size of 10 or more employees minimum
• Industry experience in either consumer goods manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, private label, co-packing, food/supermarket retailer or direct store delivery.
• High proficiency in communications required in working with internal/external stakeholders along with strong negotiation skills and excellent analytical ability.
• Must be a strong team leader who is able to work effectively in a minimally structured work environment.
• Strong ERP system and MS Office proficiency (Excel & Word). AS400 ERP system. experience a plus but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree required

• Successful candidate must be able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with multiple internal departments and external customers, and must be proficient in understanding billing processes, deduction management, payment resolutions, and account reconciliations.
• Position requires a strong ability to multi-task while actively engaging, coaching, and advocating for a team with shared responsibilities.
• Closely interact with senior management through providing reporting metrics while providing proactive updates regarding portfolio issues.
• Work with IT to drive the software automation of the cash applications processes.
