Description We're seeking a talented Credit Manager to join our Denver Translease Team! In this role, you will need to leverage your experience and creativity to collaborate with our sales team to structure transactions that don’t fit cleanly inside the credit box. As the Manager of the Credit Department, you will not only serve as the right hand for our Director of Finance, but you will also be responsible for developing the Credit Analysts on our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who has extensive experience with underwriting for secured loan and lease transactions so that you can hit the ground running. You will be trusted to make decisions with approval authority ranging from $500K to $1 Million, so we expect that you have a track record of making and owning your credit decisions. Determine transactional risk and present formal recommendations to management. Work closely with Sales to manage and develop customer relationships. Work with banks on the nuances of individual transactions. Enhance transaction analysis by suggesting new financial performance metrics and additional review components to credit memorandums. Establish portfolio monitoring process using key credit profile indicators. Implement regulatory compliance framework based on anticipated federal lending regulations hitting private companies. Develop quantitative guidelines for staff progression and responsibility. Organize, analyze, and summarize financial statements paying close attention to key financial metrics such as cash flow, debt to equity and other liquidity ratios. Review and interpret consumer and commercial credit reports. Develop industry and equipment knowledge to be utilized during credit analysis. Oversee and manage a team of Credit Analysts to ensure they continue developing sufficient Equipment Finance, Trans Lease, and industry domain knowledge. Provide open communication regarding customers and transactions among all departments within Trans Lease. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements Work Environment & Physical Abilities: Activities require a full range of motion including; handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. This position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Ability to receive and analyze data and input it into the computer. Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. This position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. This position requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours. The ability to lift up to 30+ pounds. Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor's Degree with a concentration/emphasis in Finance or Accounting. Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience managing a team. Strong understanding of how to interpret the three main financial statements. Prior experience with key commercial underwriting performance metrics. Exposure to Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and verification. Multitasking Skills Customer Service Skills Conflict Resolution Skills Detail Oriented Quick Thinking Emotional Intelligence Computer Efficiency Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing. Ability to successfully complete a general abilities assessment. Ability to pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen. Preferred Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Experience with Enterprise Salesforce. Experience with lease accounting and servicing applications. Experience in a multi-state business, preferably within the transportation industry. Formal training within a bank credit department.
