As the Credit Manager, you will be a key member of the Mortgage Operations business, and your role will be paramount to the delivery of Westpac’s vision. You will display a strong customer and operational focus, as well as ensuring a high level of productivity, service delivery and regulatory compliance.  You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and timely credit assessments for Westpac Group’s mortgage products. Collaborate closely with teams across the business to support strategic goals, responsible lending practices, and a safe, healthy work environment. A core part of your role involves managing inbound calls from Brokers, Bankers, and Assessors regarding home loan applications for Westpac Group brands, including Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne, and BankSA. Additionally, you will proactively identify and manage risks, monitor recurring issues, and contribute to service enhancements that elevate both customer experience and operational efficiency.   What do I need? We are looking for a passionate and curious individual, who will strive to meet our Mortgage Operations Lending needs, delivering sound customer focused risk/reward outcomes. You will also have a growth mindset, demonstrated problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work in a high-impact and fast-paced environment. Additionally, you’ll: * Be currently making credit decisions, either as a Credit Manager, Senior Assessor, or as an established Home Finance Manager, or Lender. * Have proven ability to influence key stakeholders. * Thrive in working autonomously and managing workloads based on priorities.  * Be confident in written and verbal communication, with the ability to build professional partnerships with internal and external customers. * Possess attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. * Be known for your positive attitude, strong accountability and solutions-oriented nature.   Why join us?
