In this role you will the design, implementation, and monitoring of credit risk strategies for the consumer lending products. This role is responsible for developing credit policies for new products, shaping credit policies, optimizing risk-reward trade-offs, tracking business KPIs, analyzing product performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance while driving profitable growth. What the role will entail Define and maintain credit policies across the credit lifecycle, establish risk appetite frameworks, and partner with product, marketing, and operations teams. Drive advanced credit analytics, develop and refine credit scoring models, and monitor risk monitoring, to assess portfolio health and proactively address emerging risks. Track and analyze key business KPIs, conduct product performance reviews, and provide insights to senior management on portfolio trends, customer segments, and competitive positioning. Drive automation in decision making processes and explore digital tools and alternative data sources. Collaborate with technology teams to modernize risk infrastructure and analytics platforms. Oversee portfolio risk performance and drive initiatives to optimize approval rates, credit line assignments, and collections strategies. Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements and liaise with regulators and auditors on credit risk matters. Maintain robust governance and documentation of credit policies. Build and lead a high-performing team of credit policy and risk analytics professionals and collaborate with senior executives to align risk strategies with overall business goals. What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or any related field; a Master's degree is an advantage. At least 12 years of experience in credit risk management, with significant exposure in Consumer Lending products with proven track record in developing credit policies, risk analytics frameworks, and KPI-driven portfolio management, ideally gained within the banking industry. Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and risk management tools. Experience in digital transformation initiatives, including AI/ML deployment in credit risk and, with deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
