The Opportunity
We are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to become part of our global credit risk department consisting of several international based teams who have the end-to-end credit risk management responsibility at merchant and portfolio level. Our scope is across several legal and licensed entities within Worldline Merchant Services (MS).
In this role you will be at the core of our organisation with a high level of exposure, supporting Worldline’s growth and profitability by ensuring sustainable new and existing credit exposures and minimalization of credit losses.
As our new colleague you are responsible for the credit risk management for large merchants and the assigned merchant portfolio. Performing in-depth financial analysis and assessing the creditworthiness of merchants, perform credit reviews according to the credit review cycle, conducting credit memos for approvals and decision sheets for presentations to the risk committees, calculate credit ratings and assess rating appeals, determine individual merchant risk appetite and assess terms and conditions. You are involved in the negotiating process with merchants and can take well balanced decisions or professionally present your recommendation to relevant Risk Committees for decisioning.
You will work closely with various stakeholders such as sales, account management, legal and other risk departments and can attend (online) meetings with merchants.
Responsibilities:
- In-depth financial analyses and enhanced credit assessments, analysing and documenting the merchant business model and sector dynamics, financial performance and key indicators, risks and effective mitigants.
- Professional presentation of credit proposals to MS and Group risk committees
- Performing periodic credit reviews, take on new onboarding requests, handle change request (terms & conditions) and credit exposure/limit increases, watch list monitoring and collateral management
- Collaborate closely with sales, account management and operations, to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with merchants at CFO or treasurer level.
- Assess terms and conditions, review legal documents and contract amendments ensuring credit risk mitigation and conditions are accurately defined.
- Credit risk approval authority based on your level of experience and expertise.
