Job Description Job Title / Scope : Credit Manager / Country Reports to: : Country CFO (Admin) / EAJ Credit Leader (Function) Position Description The credit analyst position is accountable for the entire credit review process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing Company revenue and minimizing bad debt losses. Principle Accountabilities MANAGEMENT Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives Properly motivate the credit and collections staff Measure department performance with appropriate metrics Provide for ongoing training of the credit staff Manage relations with the sales department Manage relations with credit insurance providers Manage relations with credit reporting agencies Manage relations with collection agencies CREDIT OPERATIONS Create/Maintain a credit scoring model Perform periodic credit reviews using credit scoring model Monitor the credit granting and updating process Accept or reject the staff's credit recommendations Personally investigate the largest customers credit applications Personally visit the largest customers with Sales to establish relations Monitor deductions being taken by customers Manage the application of late fees Monitor rebates and discounts to customers Monitor slow payments on customer going into liquidation/debt recovery Manage the corporate financing program REPORTING Maintain the Corporate Credit policy Recommend changes/enhancement in the credit policy to Credit Leader EAJ Maintain the Chart of Authority (CoA) Manage customer credit profile and files in SE systems. Prepare Monthly Credit Council/Committee reports Prepare QBR reports Prepare credit insurance turnover report Recommend bad debt provision 5+ years of credit experience. Bachelor's degree in business and experience with credit scoring systems preferred. Have a thorough knowledge of credit-related laws. Be willing to periodically travel to customer sites. Have considerable experience with customer negotiations.
