FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain strong knowledge of Credit Union products and services to effectively support members and staff inquiries. Provide leadership and direction to the Credit Risk Department, ensuring timely and effective execution of recovery efforts for the consumer, residential, and commercial loan portfolios.
  • Serve as manager of the Servicing Department, ensuring continuity of operations, process effectiveness and support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and thirdparty vendors to manage the same and marketing of foreclosed ore repossessed assets (e.g., real estate, vehicles, equipment) to minimize losses.
  • Facilitate the Credit Risk Committee, including preparing reports, analyzing trends, and recommending risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on complex collection accounts including foreclosures, bankruptcies, judgments, and levies.
  • Handles member complaints and escalated issues as needed.
  • Review and recommend for approval charge off requests for loans and shares, to include ensuring timely completion of the monthly process.
  • Review and assess monthly recovery number.
  • Oversee the collections of chargedoff accounts through various recovery strategies including small claims, garnishments, and structured repayment plans.
  • Reviews and prepares monthly and quarterly reports for Senior Management.
  • Provides oversight into establishing annual goals for team members.
  • Ensure all responsibilities are carried out in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and MVFCU’s core values.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Risk and Compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Jack Henry or similar financial software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced, highvolume environment.
  • Selfmotivated team player with strong initiative and a dependable work ethic.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact professionally with members, colleagues, and external vendors.
