REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong experience in credit risk analytics, underwriting policies and credit strategy in an SME or unsecured consumer lending company. (8+ years)
  • A proven track record in leading large analytics teams and managing high-impact projects.
  • Expertise in SQL and/or Python for data analytics.
  • The ability to develop commercially focused business models that drive strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to join the Credit Risk team at YouLend. In this role, you will oversee credit portfolios across the UK, EU, and US, lead a team of analysts, and develop data-driven strategies that deliver direct commercial impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement credit risk strategies across various portfolios to support business growth and profitability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of analytics professionals to execute projects that impact business performance.
  • Design and optimise underwriting procedures to enhance commercial outcomes across credit risk and other key business areas.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, using data-driven insights to influence strategic decisions.
  • Utilise SQL regularly to develop strategies for credit risk management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create innovative, data-led strategies
