JOB DESCRIPTION Role: Credit Risk Senior Analyst Location: Bengaluru Employment Type: Full-Time The Credit Risk Senior Analyst will be responsible for assessing, managing, and mitigating the credit risk exposure for the US credit card portfolio. This role will involve working closely with business units to ensure sound credit risk policies and practices are in place. The Credit Risk Senior Analyst will conduct thorough credit assessments, maintain risk monitoring systems, and assist in making strategic recommendations to safeguard the company from potential credit losses. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of credit risk management principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES Credit Risk Assessment Evaluate and monitor the creditworthiness of existing and prospective customers Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, credit bureau reports, and risk data Recommend credit limits, terms, and risk actions based on assessment outcomes Credit Risk Strategy & Policy Develop, implement, and periodically enhance credit risk policies and procedures Ensure credit risk strategy aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements Advise senior management on risk exposure, trends, and mitigation strategies Risk Monitoring & Reporting Monitor portfolio risk exposure to ensure compliance with internal risk limits Prepare risk reports and dashboards highlighting key indicators, trends, and emerging risks Implement and manage automated tools and systems for risk monitoring and reporting Stakeholder Management Collaborate with underwriting, sales, finance, product, and legal teams to manage credit risk Liaise with credit bureaus, auditors, and regulatory bodies to stay aligned with best practices Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US credit regulations and compliance frameworks Training & Development Provide guidance and mentorship to junior risk analysts Stay current with industry trends, tools, and regulatory developments QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field ot Master’s degree (MBA / MSc) or professional certifications (FRM, CFA) are preferred Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in US credit card risk management or related roles Strong understanding of credit risk analysis, financial modeling, and portfolio management Experience working with US credit bureaus and US credit scoring frameworks Exposure to credit risk management systems and tools Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of credit scoring models and risk mitigation techniques Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python Strong analytical and reporting capabilities Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
