SouthernCarlson, a national distributor of construction, fastening, industrial, and packaging supplies, is seeking a Credit Specialist to join our successful team in our Stockton branch. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (No Weekends!) Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate invoice collections and resolve customer account issues. Work independently to ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms. Analyze delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts based on due date and balance. Improve receivable turnover through proactive follow-up and communication. Collaborate with branch managers and sales teams to align on collection strategies. Maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Escalate financial concerns or risks to management as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable. Background in the construction or industrial supply industry preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work independently. Education/Experience Desired HS Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of credit or collection experience preferred. Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and financial policies a plus.
